Carol L. Eischeid, age 69 of Riverton, IA passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Jennie Edmundson Medical Center in Council Bluffs, IA.

Carol was born on March 22, 1948 in Walla Walla, WA; the daughter of  Roy Edward and Glendora Marie (Davidson) Goodman.  She attended school and graduated from Glenwood High School with the Class of 1966.

On February 7, 1970, Carol was united in marriage to Mark Eischeid in Glenwood, IA.  She worked at Nishna Productions in Malvern, IA for several years and also provided in home day care, raised foster children and cared for several foreign exchange students.  She was a avid gardener and a wonderful cook!

She is survived by her husband Mark Eischeid of Riverton, IA; children:  Stephanie Bowden and husband Mike of Glenwood, IA; Melissa Stump and husband Travis of Ashland, NE and Kristine Shipley and husband Jerry of Riverton, IA; mother Glendora Goodman of Tabor, IA; two Goddaughters:  Karrie Walker and husband Lloyd of Omaha, NE and Ashley Gilliam and husband Scott of Tuscon, AZ; 10 grandchildren, 8 God grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; siblings:  Sharon Davidson Reid of Texas; Cheryl Jurgens of Iowa; David Goodman (Sandy) of Wyoming and Marilyn Fidler (Robert) of Iowa; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Carol was preceded in death by her father Roy Goodman in 1986; brother Steven Goodman; granddaughter Dorothy Eischeid and three nephews:  Matthew, Jeremy and Jason Goodman.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 23, 2018 at the Rash-Gude Funeral Home in Hamburg, IA with Pastor Rich Milliken officiating.  Inurnment will follow at the Riverton Cemetery in Riverton, IA.

The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday (3/22) evening at the Rash-Gude Funeral Home, Hamburg, IA.

Memorials may be given to Marnie Simons Farm School Project in Hamburg.

So sorry for your loss. We have known each other since junior high. My husband lived across the road from the Goodman family for years. Such a sad time for you. Please know that your are in our thoughts and prayers.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Carol. We were good friends thru high school and after. We had many sleep overs on the week-ends. A lot of memories are going thru my head. Carol was responsible for introducing my husband and I .Mike and I have been together for 48 years. My sympathy to the family.
