Zayne William Osborn

Zayne W. Osborn, age 21 of Hamburg, IA passed away on March 21, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Zayne William Osborn was born on May 16, 2001 in Nebraska City, NE; the son of Danny Ray and Kelly Marie (Meyer) Osborn.  He grew up in Hamburg and attended school and later attended Sidney High School  where he graduated with the Class of 2019.  He attended college at Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs, IA and Southwestern Community College in Creston, IA until his health declined. 

While he was in high school, Zayne played football, basketball, baseball, golf and track.  He also was involved in the school play and F.F.A.

Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Danny and Kelly Osborn; siblings:  Anna Walters (Rodney), Christopher Osborn (Taelyn) and Ava Osborn all of Hamburg, IA; maternal grandmother Linda Meyer of Nebr. City, NE; paternal grandmother Roberta Brooks of Hamburg, IA; nephews:  Brextyn and Brayden; other family and many friends.

Zayne was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandfathers and uncles:  Kenny and Chris.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at the Sidney High School Gymnatorium in Sidney, IA.  Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery southeast of Hamburg.

The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday (3/24) at the Rash-Gude Funeral Home in Hamburg.

A Memorial is being established in Zayne’s memory for a Golf Scholarship at Hamburg and/or Sidney Schools.
