Wayne LeRoy Harroun

Wayne L. Harroun, age 85 of Nebr. City, NE passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at the Omaha Nursing & Rehab Center in Omaha, NE.

Wayne LeRoy Harroun was born on July 13, 1939 in Nebraska City, NE; the son of Courtland Howard and Ruth (Russell) Harroun.  He grew up and attended school in Nebraska City, graduating from the Nebraska City High School with the Class of 1957.  He then attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln for a year.  He served in the US Air Force Reserve from 1958 to 1964.

Wayne worked as a Corporate Manager in the newspaper business for some 20 years.  He worked in Hastings, NE, St. Louis, MO, New Mexico and Iowa before returning to Nebraska in 1999.  He enjoyed photography and writing.

He is survived by his daughter Diane Borsh (Tom) of Omaha, NE; granddaughters:  Amanda, Lori and Elizabeth; four great-grandchildren:  Addyson, Aubree, Lennon and Jade; other family and friends.

Wayne was preceded in death his parents Howard and Ruth Harroun, son Robert Masters and two brothers:  Glen and Harold Harroun.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 6, 2024 at Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City.  Burial will be in the Camp Creek Cemetery southeast of Nebraska City.
