Vinnie McDougall

Vincentia “Vinnie” McDougall, age 81 of Nebraska City, NE passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Vincentia Victory McDougall, lovingly known as Vinnie to her family and friends, was born on December 24, 1941 in Los Angeles, CA; the daughter of Donald Wilson and Jane (Wood) DeBoe.  She attended school in Los Angeles and high school in San Luis Obispo, CA. 

Vinnie worked at various jobs over the years including as a truck driver from 1988 to 1995.  She then worked at the Lied Center and drove the Trolley in Nebraska City.   She also worked at Burger King, McDonalds and finally at Wal-Mart where she worked for some 13 years before retiring in 2019.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children:  Tenia Stanek (Paul) of Nebraska City, NE and Melody Ann Armstrong-Cate of Sonora, CA; five grandchildren:  Chrissy Riggins (Chris) of Nebraska City, NE, Brian Stanek of Conroe, TX, Bethanie O’Flaherty of Nebraska City, NE, Forrest Armstrong-Cate and Sterling Armstrong-Cate both of Sonora, CA; two step-grandchildren:  Sean Stanek (Stephanie) of Nebraska City, NE and Ian Stanek (Jessie) of Kansas City, MO; four great-grandchildren:  Seth Foreman, Jace Smith, Kaylee Riggins and Wyatt Smith; five step great-grandchildren:  Timothy Stanek, Robin Stanek, Emerson Stanek, Sylvie Stanek and Everly Stanek; other family and friends. 

Vinnie was preceded in death by her parents; brother Timothy Peter DeBoe and step-grandson Colin Stanek.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 5, 2023 at Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City, NE with Pastor Norman Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Wyuka Cemetery in Nebraska City.

There will be open visitation prior to the funeral, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday.

Memorials may be given to HIKE (Hearing Impaired Kids Endowment) in her memory.
