Tony Collins Obituary

Tony D. Collins, age 55 of Sidney, IA passed away October 21, 2021 at his home.

Tony Dean Collins was born on April 5, 1966; the son of Raymond and Hazel (Doiel) Collins.  He grew up on a farm outside Sidney and then moved to town when he was about 10.  He graduated from Sidney High School with the Class of 1984.

After finishing high school, Tony began working at Eaton Corp. in Shenandoah and continued working there until his retirement.  He enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping and mushroom hunting.  He also was interested in photography and genealogy.  His favorite football team was the Denver Broncos. 

Tony was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings:  Dennis Collins, Gerry Collins and Linda Thompson.

He is survived by nieces and nephews:  Duane Collins (AK) of Wahoo, NE, Dawn Collins (Brian Moseley) of Sidney, IA, Donna Jones (Tom) of Solon Springs, WI, Matthew Thompson (Karie) of Superior, NE, Tabitha Foote (Robert) of Mound City, MO and Dustin Collins of Fairfax, MO; many grand-nieces, grand-nephews, aunts, uncles and other family and friends.

A Memorial Graveside Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Mt. Olive Cemetery southeast of Hamburg, IA.  Inurnment will be held at Mt. Olive Cemetery at that time.
