Tommy R. Aldana, age 44 of Nebraska City, NE was called home on July 12, 2024.
Tommy Ray Aldana was born on October 17, 1979 in Nebraska City, NE; the son of Enrique and Debra (Kingery) Aldana. He grew up and attended school in Nebraska City, graduating with the Class of 1998. He then attended Peru State College, where he played football and baseball, and graduated with a degree in Business Administration. After college, Tommy played football for the Omaha Beef before an injury prevented him from playing.
He was married to Marcy Cowles and they had two sons: Jaydin and Gavin. Tommy (lovingly referred to as Timmy by some of his players) coached his sons in many youth sports, including football, basketball and baseball. He worked for Budweiser as a Sales Representative for many years and was a part-time bartender at Dinty Moore’s Bar.
Those left to cherish his memory include his sons: Jaydin Aldana (sig. other Andrea) of Lincoln, NE and Gavin Aldana of Nebraska City, NE; his parents: Enrique and Debra Aldana; siblings: Amy Nelson of Hickman, NE, Enrique “Ricky” Aldana of Nebr. City, NE and Bobbi Jo “BJ” Aldana of Nebr. City, NE; aunts and uncles: Richard (Kathy) Kingery, Toni Kingery, Elvira Aldana de Gonzales, Angela Manriquez, Carmela (Philip) Buttercase, Pedro (Alejandra) Aldana, Rogelio (Estela) Aldana, Adolfo (Kelly) Aldana, Teresa (Santos) Marquez and Jose (Paula) Aldana; nieces and nephews: Michael (MJ) Nelson, Markus Nelson, Rique Ray Aldana, DiAngelo Aldana, Teya Wood (Sam), Hannah Aldana, Jenna Larson, Austin Sterling, Dominick Sterling and Logan Thorne; former wife Marcy Aldana; many other family and friends.
Tommy was preceded in death by his grandparents: Roy and Betty Kingery and Adolfo and Matiana Aldana, and Paul and Evie Jones, uncle Don Kingery.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at the Nebraska City High School.
The family will greet friends from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, (7/17) at the high school.
Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
