Theresa E. (Gilbert) Bechtold

Theresa E. Bechtold, age 74 of Riverton, IA passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at her home.

Theresa Ellen (Gilbert) Bechtold was born on February 7, 1949 in Parker, PA; the daughter of William and Mary Loretta (Young) Gilbert.   She attended school and graduated from Allegheny Clarion Valley High School (ACV) with the Class of 1967.

She married Boyd Allan Bechtold on November 1, 2002 in Percival, IA. 

Theresa worked in the kitchen and as a Cook at Sapp Brothers Apple Barrel Restaurant at Percival, IA.  She retired in 2011.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Boyd Bechtold of Riverton, IA; children:  Jason Atkins of New Bloomington, OH, Michael Bechtold of Ord, NE and Julie Connelly of Grand Island, NE; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother Jack Gilbert of Parker, PA and sister Faith Garrett of New Haven, PA; other family and many friends.

Theresa was preceded in death by her daughter Michelle Atkins on May 20, 2021, one brother Richard Gilbert and two sisters:  Mary Kay Dilly and Shirley Roberts as well as her parents.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and the information will be published when it becomes available.

Memorials in her memory may be given to the Riverton Fire and Rescue.
