Theodore "Ted" Clinton Vander Kuur

Theodore “Ted” Clinton Vander Kuur, age 66 of Nebraska City, NE passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025 at Prestige Care Center in Nebr. City.

Ted was born on February 13, 1959 in Burke, SD; the son of Norman G. and Jacqueline “Jackie” E. (Eloge) Vander Kuur.  His family later moved to California where he graduated from high school in San Jose. 

He worked as a mechanic and enjoyed tinkering and fixing many different items. 

Ted is survived by his son Theodore C. Benton of Rolla, MO; his mom Jackie Tanner of Nebr. City, NE; aunt Jayne Swearengin and uncle Arnie Christiansen both of Nebr. City, NE; sister-in-law Lena Vander Kuur of Phoenix, AZ;   cousins and other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his dad and three brothers:  William “Bill” Vander Kuur, Clark “Chip” Vander Kuur and Norman “Cork” Vander Kuur.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Fairview Cemetery in rural Talmage, NE.
