Terry James "Jim" Nenneman

Terry J. “Jim” Nenneman, age 90 of rural Hamburg, IA passed away on Friday, July 4, 2025 at the Ambassador in Nebr. City, NE. 

Terry James Nenneman was born on August 8, 1934 in Sidney, IA; the son of Lorraine and Mary Ruth (Williams) Nenneman.  He grew up and attended school in Sidney, graduating with the Class of 1952.  He then attended Tarkio College in Tarkio, MO. 

On February 13, 1957, he entered the United States Army and proudly served his country until his honorable discharge on November 26, 1958.

He was united in marriage to Janelle M. Kimball on April 29, 1957 at the United Methodist Church in Sidney, IA and to this union four children were born:  Don, Donna, David and John.  Janelle preceded him in death on May 22, 2013.

Jim farmed for many years and raised livestock.  He also worked as a Surveyor for Fremont County in his younger years.   He had many hobbies including playing the guitar and singing, and riding snowmobiles and motorcycles.   The family also remembers the many times of singing and dancing in the living room at the home!

He is survived by his children: Don Nenneman (Melissa) of Sturgeon Bay, WI, Donna Nenneman of Hamburg, IA, David Nenneman (Jamie) of Sidney, IA and John Nenneman (Becky) of St. Joseph, MO; three grandchildren:  Tyler Stanley (sig. other Sloane Killion),  Parker Stanley and Lesley Nenneman; three siblings:  Bob Nenneman (Doris), Donna Glenn and Larry Nenneman (Cheryl) all of Sidney, IA; other family and friends.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law Jim Glenn.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at the Rash-Gude Funeral Home in Hamburg, IA with Pastor Courtney Dake officiating.   Burial will follow at the Sidney Cemetery in Sidney, IA with complete military services conducted by the Sidney American Legion Post #128.

The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday (7/8) at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to the family for future designation.
