Teddy Arnold Christiansen

Teddy A. Christiansen, age 62 of Nebraska City, NE passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at his home with his family around him.

Teddy Arnold Christiansen was born on February 21, 1961 in Nebraska City, NE; the son of Richard L. Straw and Sandra E. (Christiansen) Straw.  He grew up and attended school in Nebraska City.

On February 28, 1980, he was united in marriage to Sharon M. Beccard in St. Joseph, MO and together they raised their two children:  Chad and Megan.

Teddy worked at various jobs over the years including at Wheaton Tubing (Alcan) in Syracuse, NE and most recently at Cargill in Nebraska City.

He is survived by his wife Sharon Christiansen of Nebr. City, NE; children:  Chad Christiansen and Megan Christiansen (fiancé Jordan) both of Syracuse, NE; seven grandchildren; his father Richard “Rick” Straw of Nebraska City; siblings:  Karie Warland (Joe) of Ft. Dodge, IA, Bryant Straw (Mercy) of Nebr. City, NE and Bryanna Prudhome (Jim) of Shenandoah, IA; other family and friends. 

Teddy was preceded in death by his mom Sandra Straw on Nov. 24, 2013; grandson Nathan Kahler; siblings:  Richard D. Straw, Susan M. Holm and Patricia C. Straw; nieces Brittany Powell and Beth Warland; nephew Andy Lewis; niece Raquel Ojeda-Powell and great-nephew Zachery Campbell.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 29, 2023 at Gude Mortuary in Nebr. City.
