Shirley Ann Walters

Shirley A. Walters, age 63 of Nebraska City, NE passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Nebraska City, NE.

Shirley Ann Walters was born on February 6, 1961 in Nebraska City, NE; the daughter of Jerry Lee Walters and Jacqueline Peterson.  She attended school in Nebraska City. Shirley later moved to Alliance, NE and lived there for a time before returning to Nebraska City.  She was a loving mom and wife who raised six children.  In addition to raising her family, Shirley worked at Parker Hose Factory in Alliance, NE.  She married Ben Bemberger on December 17, 2012 in Auburn, NE and they shared 12 years together.  She was a kind hearted person who loved cats and other animals.

Shirley is survived by her husband Ben Bemberger of Nebr. City, NE; children:  Sandi Price, Michelle Landgren, Ricky Gervais (James), Eli Humphrey, Daniel Landgren (Kate), and Jackie Christofferson (Tyler); grandchildren:  Haidyn, Tate, Scarlett, Simon, Erica, Annika, Aleisha, Ashley, Fayth and Izabelle; siblings:  Robert “Bob” Walters of Nebr. City, NE, Jerry Walters of Alliance, NE and Vickie Landreth (Leroy) of Alliance, NE; aunt Shirley Morris of Nebr. City, NE and other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mom Jacqueline (Peterson) Price and her dad Jerry Lee Walters.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at Gude Mortuary in Nebr. City.  Burial will follow at Wyuka Cemetery in Nebr. City. 

The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, (8/20) at the mortuary.
