Sherlynn Shadduck

Sherlynn Shadduck, age 70 of Nebraska City, NE passed away on Saturday morning; July 19, 2025.

She was born on February 20, 1955 at the former Hand Hospital in Shenandoah, IA; the daughter of Maxwell and Mary Thelma (Thorne) Shadduck.   She attended school in Shenandoah and graduated from the Shenandoah High School with the Class of 1973.  She later attended Northwest Missouri State University where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology.  She furthered her education at Walden University where she earned her Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling

Over the years, Sherlynn worked at several places including the Good Samaritan Care Center in Syracuse, NE as the Activities Director.  She was greatly loved by her co-workers and the residents at Good Sam.

She is survived by her children:  Justin Burbeck of Omaha, NE, Jenni Hansen of Lincoln, NE, Josh Mlnarik of Kansas City, MO and Jacob Mlnarik of Kansas City, MO; five grandchildren, other extended family and many friends.

She was preceded in death by an infant brother and two sisters.

There will be a Celebration of Life Gathering on Sunday; September 7, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at her daughter Jenni’s home in Lincoln, NE.  For further information regarding this, please contact Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City.
