Sherill Ann Gibson

Sherill A. Gibson, age 59 of Shenandoah, IA (formerly Nebraska City) passed away on Monday; August 2, 2021 at her home.

She was born on October 2, 1961 in Denver, CO; the daughter of Robert L. and Shirley Ann (Anderson) White, Sr.   She attended school in Nebraska City and later completed courses in Nursing at Iowa Western Community College.  In 1989, she completed Truck Driving School.

Sherill was united in marriage to Laverne Wildt on May 24, 1980 in Red Oak, IA.  She later married Steve Gibson on August 28, 1992 in Rock Port, MO.

She worked as a CMA and CNA in both Lincoln and Nebraska City.  She also drove truck for Schneider Trucking and was a Security Guard.

She is survived by her children:  Verne Wildt (Lorie) of Shenandoah, IA, Amanda Pereyra (Alberto, Sr.) of Dunbar, NE and Rebecca Collins (Sean) of Springfield, IL; 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, her mom Lola White of Nebr. City; siblings:  Robert White, Jr. (Beth) of Villisca, IA, Cindy Suppes (Marion Parks) of Syracuse, NE, Jeanette Baker of Nebr. City, Billy Schneider of Hamburg, IA, Ronald Schneider of Nebr. City, Patty Orban (Bob) of LeMars, IA, Randy Lukehart of Little Rock, AR and Rick Lukehart (Deb) of Red Oak, IA; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by husband Steve “Gibby” Gibson, her dad Robert White, Sr., and step-mom Irene White.

The family will greet friends Friday (8/6) from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Gude Mortuary.

A Memorial Service will be held following the visitation at 7:00 p.m. Friday at Gude Mortuary.

Memorials may be given to the Gibson family in her memory.
