Sharon C. (Durr) Ramold

Sharon C. Ramold, age 77 of Nebraska City, NE passed away at her home on December 23, 2021.

Lovingly known as Sherri, she was born on December 5, 1944 in Nebraska City, NE; the daughter of Hilary Herbert and Margaret Martha (Kreifels) Durr.  She attended school and graduated from St. Bernard's Academy/ Lourdes High School with the Class of 1962.

She was united in marriage to Michael R. Ramold in August of 1968 at St. Benedict's Catholic Church in Nebraska City and to this union two children were born:  Michelle and Jed.
Sharon worked at the former Pendleton Woolen Mills in Nebraska City for many years.  Later, she worked at American Meter Company until her retirement.   She was devoted and faithful member of St. Benedict's Catholic Church, Christian Mother's and A.A.  

She is survived by her daughter Michelle Baxa and husband Kyle Thorne of Nebr. City, son Jed Ramold and wife Kristy of Perry, IA; six grandchildren:  Kayla Jelken, Amber Jelken, Gabriel Baxa, Grace Baxa, Michael Ramold (Brooke) and Jared Ramold; one great-grandchild to be born March of 2022; former husband Mike Ramold of Nebr. City; siblings:  Ray Durr (Nancy) of Nebr. City, Jeanine Blevins (Jack) of Plattsmouth, NE, Carolyn Morris (Tim) of Winona, MO and Joe Durr (Sheri) of Papillion, NE; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
She was preceded in death a sister Patricia "Pat" Kleineweber as well as her parents.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday (12/29) at 10:30 a.m. at St. Benedict's Catholic Church in Nebraska City; burial will follow in St. Benedict's Cemetery.

The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday (12/28) at Gude Mortuary followed by a rosary/prayer service at 7:00 p.m. 

Memorials may be given to Nebraska Right to Life or Priests For Life Pro Life Organization.
