Sherry Allumbaugh, age 75 of Hamburg, IA passed away at Crest Haven Care Center in Creston, IA on Sunday December 30, 2018.
Sharon Lee Allumbaugh was born on February 10, 1943 in Omaha, NE.
She was united in marriage to Dennis Allumbaugh on February 15, 1992 in Council Bluffs, IA.
She worked for many years grooming dogs at the Animal Hospital in Nebr. City, NE until she retired. Sherry had a heart of gold for any animal. Dennis and Sherry made their home in Paul, NE and later moved to Hamburg. They raised many different kinds of animals from birds, rabbits, ducks, dogs, cats and her pot belly pig. They spent their time setting up at flea markets and selling their animals and spending lot’s of time with their friends riding motorcycles. Sherry will be missed by her family and friends but she is in the arms of her husband Honey now.
She is survived by brother-in-law Darrell Allumbaugh and wife Karen of Hamburg,, IA, sisters-in-law: Janice Haughton of Hamburg, IA, Karen Perry and husband Ron of Hamburg, IA, Teresa Doss of Frankfort, KY, Cindy Valente of Walnut Grove, MO; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dennis on September 2, 20115 and her in-laws: Melvin and Rose Allumbaugh in 2007.
The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Monday; Jan. 7, 2019 at Rash-Gude Funeral Home in Hamburg, IA with a Celebration of Life Service to be held at 7:00 p.m.
Memorials may be given to the family.
