Rosella Louise (Snyder) Eaton

Rosella L. Eaton, age 85 of Nebraska City, NE passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at the Bellevue Medical Center in Bellevue, NE.

Rosella Louise Eaton was born on August 18, 1940 in Nebraska City, NE; the daughter of William and Ella (Niedermeyer) Snyder.  She attended school and graduated from the Talmage High School with the Class of 1958.  After high school, she attended the Lincoln School of Commerce.

Rosella was united in marriage to Bobby Rex Eaton on November 12, 1960 in Talmage, NE.  She worked at the former Otoe County Bank in Nebraska City and later began her career at American Meter in 1972 where she worked for some 36 years before retiring.  Rosella was a member of Queen Esther Chapter #1-Order of the Eastern Star in Nebraska City.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Jamie Gress (Chris) of Lincoln, NE, Monty “Sody” Eaton of Nebraska City, NE and Stacey Maloy (Shawn) of Omaha, NE; six grandchildren: Steven Gress, Clay Eaton, Reese Eaton, Wyatt Eaton, Molly Maloy and Nathan Maloy; sister-in-law Pat Snyder of Lincoln, NE; other family and friends.

Rosella was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Rex Eaton on March 25, 2002, two infant children: Todd and Kasey, three brothers: Melvin, Edgar and Leland Snyder and a sister Loretta Smith.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City with Pastor Terry Weible officiating.  Burial will follow the service at East Union Cemetery near Union, NE.

The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service and an Eastern Star Service will be held at 10:45 a.m. 

Memorials may be given to the Queen Esther Chapter #1 – Order of the Eastern Star in Nebraska City.
