Rick Carl Haith

Rick C. Haith, age 65 of Nebraska City passed away on Wednesday evening, Aug. 3, 2022 at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, NE.

Ricky Carl Haith was born on December 4, 1956 in Omaha, NE; the son of Carl Junior and Catherine Clara (Asmus) Haith.  He attended school in Omaha and graduated from high school there.

In 1975, he entered the United States Navy and honorably and faithfully served his country until his honorable discharge on March 18, 1983.

Rick was a Welder and a member of the Steamfitters Union #464.  He worked at various electrical plants during their shutdowns including NPPD at Brownville, NE and NPPD at Ft. Calhoun, NE.  He was a former member of the Eagles Club in Nebr. City.

He is survived by his two children:  Melissa Hernandez and fiancé Jarrett and Kyle Haith and wife Kassie all of Nebraska City; grandchildren:  Junior, Zaida, Bostin, Journey, Luna, Nyala, Zaeda, Kingston, Bladen and Kholden; siblings:  Vicki Stranathan (Pat) of Tecumseh, NE and Rodney Haith (Jayne) of Utica, NE; four nieces and nephews; other family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his mom Cathy on July 14, 2014 and his dad Carl on April 15, 2015.

The family will greet friends on Tuesday, August 9 from 5:00 pm. to 7:00 pm at Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City, NE followed by military honors and a Celebration of Life Service at 7:00 p.m.
