Peggy M. Mount

Peggy M. Mount, age 93 of Sidney, IA (formerly Hamburg) passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at the Ambassador in Sidney.

Peggy M. Mount was born on November 17, 1930 in Hamburg, IA; the daughter of Harold G. and Dessie V. (Houchin) Mount.  She grew up and attended school in Hamburg with her sister Patricia.

Throughout her years at the Ambassador, Peggy brought so much love and light into the lives of everyone there. Her presence has truly enriched the staff at the Ambassador, offering them more joy and meaning than they could ever hope to have given her in return.

Peggy loved a good joke, and her laughter was infectious. She had a deep passion for horses and cowgirls.  She enjoyed going for strolls around the facility.  Peggy also took care of her “baby” Bobbi who she cared for dearly over the years.  She enjoyed keeping her mind sharp with puzzles and matching games everyday.

She is survived by her cousins and her nursing home family at the Ambassador in Sidney where she lived for many years.

Peggy was preceded in death by her mom in 1983, her dad in 1998 and her sister Patricia in 2018.

She will be laid to rest next to her mom and dad at Mt. Olive Cemetery outside of Hamburg.

Memorials may be given to the Hamburg Fire and Rescue.
