Paul Harvey Lockwood

Paul H. Lockwood, age 65 of Lincoln, NE passed away on Monday, September 22, 2025 at Bryan West Medical Center in Lincoln, NE.

Paul Harvey Lockwood was born on September 11, 1960 in Mohall, ND; the son of Dwight A. and Rev. Nelda G. (Bader) Lockwood.  His mom was an ordained minister, and her ministry brought them to Nebraska, where Paul graduated from Nemaha Valley High School in Cook, NE with the Class of 1978.  He then attended Doane College in Crete, NE where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in mathematics with a teaching certificate. 

He entered the United States Army in May 1984.  While in the Army he served as a Russian Interpreter for three years in Augsburg, Germany.  He was honorably discharged in May 1988.

Prior to joining the Army, Paul taught math at Dunning Sandhills Public Schools and after his military service he was a Property Manager for rentals.  His favorite pastimes were reading, logic puzzles, Sudoku puzzles and he was a big fan of Nebraska Football and Volleyball.

He is survived by his brothers:  Timothy Lockwood and wife Amy and James Lockwood both of Lincoln, NE;  nephews:  Emery and Edward; other family and friends.

Paul was preceded in death by his mom Nelda on June 6, 2010 and his father Dwight on June 12, 2012.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at Marshall Funeral Chapel in Nebraska City, NE.  Burial will follow at St. John’s (McWilliams) Cemetery in Talmage, NE where he’ll be laid to rest next to his parents, Dwight and Nelda.

Memorials may be given to the Lincoln Public Library.
