Patsy "Pat" (Gardner) Aspedon

Patsy A. “Pat” Aspedon, age 78 of rural Hamburg, IA passed away on March 9, 2021 at the High Plains Care Center in Lincoln, NE.

Pat was born on April 26, 1942 in Nebraska City, NE; the daughter of Bernard James and Amy Lou (Moyer) Gardner. She attended school and graduated from the Hamburg High School.

On August 24, 1960, she was united in marriage to Larry Dale Aspedon in Hamburg, IA and to this union three sons were born:  Dale, Dean and Dan.  

Pat worked for numerous years at Stoner Drug in Hamburg, IA and enjoyed her many visits with the  customers in the store and especially at the soda fountain there.  

She is survived by a son Dan Aspedon of Killeen, TX; daughter in law Cathy Aspedon of Glenwood, IA; five granddaughters:  Tonya, Kirsty, Heidi, Charlsie and Autumn; nine great-grandchildren:  Maddie, Ella, Emily, Keagan, Hermione, Daniel, Benton, Colden and Rhiannon; sisters in law:  Janice Hensley of Sidney, IA and Barb Hankins of Riverton, IA; nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.

Pat peacefully joined her husband Larry (2018), sons:  Dean Patrick (1967) and Dale Eugene (2010), her daughter-in-law Nicky (2020) and brother Gary Gardner (1980) in heaven on Tuesday evening, March 9, 2021.

Graveside Memorial Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday; April 3, 2021 at the Riverton Cemetery, Riverton, IA with inurnment to follow the services.

Memorials in Pat’s memory may be given to the Hamburg Rescue or the Riverton Rescue.
