Patricia "Pat" (Marion) Aufenkamp

Patricia Jo (Marion) Aufenkamp, age 83 of Nebraska City passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023 at her home.

She was born on November 30, 1939 in Nebraska City, NE; the daughter of Richard W. and Josephine Millie (Mead) Marion.  She attended school in Nebraska City and graduated with the Class of 1957.

On November 11, 1961, Pat was united in marriage to Jack Aufenkamp in Auburn, NE.  Jack preceded her in death on May 23, 1999. 

In 1968, Pat and Jack moved to Fremont, NE where she worked at Hormel Foods for 29 years.  In 2002, she moved back to Nebraska City where she worked at the Bagel Plant for three years and American Meter for five years before finally retiring.

She was a life-time member of the Eagles Auxiliary and an avid Nebraska Cornhusker Fan!

Pat is survived by her daughter Vicki Denniston and husband Gary of Lake Waconda (rural Union, NE), son Jeffrey “Buck” Aufenkamp of Fremont, NE; two grandchildren:  Melissa Long and Jason Stoll and wife Jena of Nebraska City, NE; four great-granddaughters; one brother Jim Marion and wife Saundra of Anchorage, Alaska; other family and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and siblings:  Richard “Sonny” Marion, Phil Marion and Kathleen Warren.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 3, 2023 at Wyuka Cemetery in Nebraska City.  She will be laid to rest next to her late husband Jack following the services.
