Norma Leigh Bailey

Norma L. Bailey, age 85 of Clarinda, IA passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at Goldenrod Manor in Clarinda.

Norma was born on July 12, 1936 in Rock Port, MO; the daughter of Floyd and Frances Lorine (Fahseler) Strange.  She was united in marriage to Larry Bailey in 1971.

In addition to being a homemaker and taking care of her family, Norma worked at the Lake’s Plant Nursery in Shenandoah and at the café in Shenandoah.  She enjoyed doing crafts and sewing.

She is survived by her children:  Donald Kalkas and wife Mary of Shenandoah, IA, Frances Hagey and husband Gary of Clarinda, IA, Terry Culbertson and Darryl of Blanchard, IA and Tracy Bailey and wife Tarrah of Clarinda, IA; seven grandchildren:  Curtis Kalkas, Chrissy Kalkas, Ray Blaha, Jessica Zeman (Trevor Gray), Jamie Zeman, Grayson Bailey and Lane Osborne; ten great-grandchildren; brother Floyd Strange and sister-in-law Sharon Strange; other family and friends.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband Larry Bailey on April 28, 2010; her parents; brothers and sister; Jim Strange, David Strange, Allen Strange, and Phyllis Runyon; sisters-in-law Donna Strange and Joy Strange; and grandson Briley Bailey.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at the Riverton Cemetery in Riverton, IA. Pastor Butch Patterson will officiate.
