Nancy Lee (Golden) Wurtele

Nancy L. Wurtele, age 76 of Nebraska City, NE passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at Ovation Heartwood Preserve in Omaha, NE.

Nancy Lee (Golden) Wurtele was born on November 1, 1948 in Nebraska City, NE; the daughter of William Golden and Freda (Jacobsma) Golden. She was a graduate of Nebraska City High School and Peru State College. She was united in marriage to Eugene K Wurtele on January 18, 1969 in Nebraska City, NE. She was a life member of First Baptist Church in Nebraska City and a beloved Art Teacher at Nebraska City Senior High.

Nancy is survived by two sons: Greg Wurtele (wife Sandra) of Fort Worth, TX: Eric Wurtele (wife Sally) of Omaha, NE: six grandchildren: Tyler and Lynda Wurtele of Fort Worth, TX, Noah, Hannah, Hope, and Gracie Wurtele of Omaha, NE; siblings:  Faye (Ron) Booth of Nebr. City, NE, Jean (Marion) Searcy of Lincoln, NE and John (Elaine) Golden of Nebr. City, NE; other family and friends. 

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at the First Baptist Church in Nebraska City.  A Private Family Graveside will be held at Camp Creek Cemetery. 

The family will greet friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Friday (11/29) at Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City. 

She trusted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church, Camp Creek Cemetery or Nebraska City Alumni Foundation.
