Micheal Ray Osborn

Micheal R. “Mike” Osborn, age 67 of Bellevue, NE (formerly Nebr. City) passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.

Micheal Ray Osborn was born on May 4, 1955 in Nebraska City, NE; the son of Howard James and Joan Elaine (Huss) Osborn.  He attended school in Auburn and Sidney, IA. 

On August 20, 1988, he was united in marriage to Elizabeth “Beth” Ann Petro.  Mike and Beth moved from Nebraska City to Bellevue nine years ago.  His family was very important to him and he was very proud of all of them.

Mike was a truck driver for many years.  He began driving truck at the age 18 for Carl Crouse.  He later worked as a heavy equipment operator for Negus and finally went back to truck driving for Jacobson Transportation until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife Beth Osborn of Bellevue, NE; children:  Christopher Jay Osborn (Jennifer) of Bellevue, NE, Corey James Osborn of Bellevue, NE, Catie Ann (Osborn) Delacerna of Omaha, NE, Chad Osborn (Roxann) of Hamburg, IA and Lori Beth Larson (Brian) of Syracuse, NE; ten grandchildren:  Taylor Furnace (Joe), Bailey Larson, Riley Larson, Koby Delacerna, Payton Delacerna, Colin Osborn, Courtney Osborn, Jaycee Osborn, Braxton Osborn and Stuart Osborn; one great-grandchild Elizabeth Furnace; one brother Joy Osborn of Nebr. City, NE; other family and many friends.

Micheal was preceded in death by his parents and brother David James Osborn in 1980.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 24, 2023 at Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City with Rev. David Sohl officiating.  Burial will follow in Wyuka Cemetery in Nebr. City.

The family will greet friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday (4/23) at the mortuary.
