Michael Thomas Obituary
Michael D. Thomas, age 72 of Nebraska City (formerly Hamburg, IA) passed away on Friday, July 23, 2021 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, IA.
Mike was born on September 10, 1948 in Clarinda, IA; the son of Duane and Martha (McDonald) Thomas. He attended school and graduated from the Hamburg High School.
He was united in marriage to Dorothy L. Moody on March 2, 1973 at Hamburg, IA and to this union a son James was born.
He worked at the American Meter Company for some 32 years before his retirement from there and was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Hamburg, IA.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy Thomas of Nebr. City; a son James Thomas and wife Kristie of Hamburg, IA; three grandchildren: Morgan, Ryan and Lauren; a sister Pam Anton and husband Bill of Wyoming, IA; other family and many friends.
An Informal Gathering will be held Thursday (July 29) from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Rash-Gude Funeral Home in Hamburg, IA at which time the family will receive friends.
A private family burial will be held at the Hamburg Cemetery, Hamburg, IA.
