Michael H. Graves Jr., age 55 of Nebraska City, NE passed away on October 4, 2025 at his home.
Michael Henry Graves was born on August 26, 1970 in Milan, Illinois; the son of Michael Henry Graves Sr. and Connie Gayle (Thorne) Graves. Growing up, he lived in Illinois and later in Pensacola, Florida where he attended school and graduated from the Woodham High School with the Class of 1988.
After high school, Michael attended Manatee Community College where he obtained his Associates Degree. He then entered the United States Air Force on January 5, 1995 and honorably and faithfully served his country until his discharge on January 3, 1999. During his time in the service, he received various decoration and citations including the Air Force Training Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, Air Force Longevity Service Award and the Joint Service Commendation Medal. Following his discharge from the Air Force, he attended Eckerd University where he received his Bachelors Degree in Creative Writing.
Prior to his health failing, he was the Manager of the Computer Science Dept. for Outreach America.
He is survived by his parents Michael Graves Sr. and Connie Graves of Nebr. City, NE; a brother: Federal Law Enforcement Officer Ben Graves (Alesha Klein) of Three Rivers, MI; aunts, uncles, cousins and other family and friends.
