Michael Durkin Obituary

Michael B. Durkin, age 78, of Nebr. City passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at the Good Samaritan Society in Auburn, NE.

Michael was born on September 30, 1941 in Des Plaines, IL; the son of Vernon Durkin and June (Boyd) Durkin.

He worked for the City of Abingdon, IL for many years before retiring. He was active in the Boy Scouts, serving as a leader for more than 30 years. He also worked as an E.M.T. for over 30 years. Camping was one of his favorite past times.

He is survived by children: Marie Kness of Oneida, IL and Jonathon (Judy) Durkin of Galesburg, IL; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; other family and friends.

Michael was preceded in death by son Thomas James Durkin.
