Megan Jackson Obituary

Megan E. Jackson, age 28 of Nebraska City, NE passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Nebr. City.

Megan Elizabeth Jackson was born on July 1, 1996 in Saratoga Springs, NY; the daughter of Eric B. and Nickole (Molt) Jackson.  On the day of her birth, Megan became a little sister to Katie (Jackson) Jones and in the years that followed she became a wonderful big sister to Brian Jackson, Emma Martin, Olivea Martin, Zachary Jackson and Abigail Jackson. 

Megan brought joy and happiness to everyone who was fortunate enough to spend time with her and to share in her life.  Megan always enjoyed time with friends, teachers and was a proud graduate of Auburn High School in Auburn, NE.  In her years after high school, Megan continued to learn each day and to enjoy her life while giving so much happiness to each person in her family. 

She was currently attending Apace (Region V) in Nebr. City since March of 2024 and was at the Auburn location after she graduated from high school.

Megan is leaving behind many family members that greatly appreciate your thoughts and prayers in this difficult time.  Megan leaves her mother Nikki Martin (Philip) of Minot, ND and father Eric Jackson (Melissa) of Suffolk, VA; grandmothers:  LuAnn King of Nebr. City, NE, Nan Martin of Brandon, SD and Dianne Jackson of Prosser, WA; siblings:  Katie Jones (Hayden) and their son Cash of Lincoln, NE, Brian Jackson of Lincoln, NE, Emma Martin of Minot, ND, Olivea Martin of Minot, ND, Zachary Jackson of Suffolk, VA and Abby Jackson of Suffolk, VA; uncles and aunts:  Tony Mott (Robyn) of Highlands Ranch, CO, Jennifer Starck (Kai) of Anchorage, AK, Christian Martin (Natalie) of Wasilla, AK, Michal Wagner (Dustin) of Brandon, SD, Rachel Bult (Derek) of Howards Grove, WI and Joshua Martin (Tanya) of Summerville, SC; numerous cousins and other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather Terry Martin.

Family was very important to Megan and her family would like to ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Christ Lutheran Church in Nebr. City.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 30, 2024 at the Christ Lutheran Church in Nebr. City with Rev. Paul Warneke officiating.  A private family graveside will be held at Wyuka Cemetery in Nebr. City.

The family will greet friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday (9/29) at Gude Mortuary in Nebr. City.
