Marcia Ann (Kendall) Rengifo

Marcia A. (Kendall) Rengifo, age 72 of rural Union, NE passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Nebr. City, NE.

She was born on March 31, 1953 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Nebraska City, NE; the daughter of Robert Moody Kendall, Sr. and Esther Anne (Mullis) Kendall.  She attended Ervin Country School through the 8th Grade and then the Nebraska City High School where she graduated with the Class of 1970.  She later attended the University of Nebraska – Lincoln where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Economics in 1979.

On September 12, 1978, she was united in marriage to Pedro E. Rengifo in Lincoln, NE and to this union three children were born:  Phillip, Patricia and Christina.  In her younger years, Marcia performed various clerical jobs at the State Capitol in Lincoln and also as a bookkeeper.   She worked for several years as an apartment manager for Wallick Properties Midwest.  She was a very talented piano player.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Pedro Rengifo of Union, NE; children:  Phillip Rengifo of Marysville, OH, Patricia Lant (Greg) of Nebr. City, NE and Christina Wickline (Mark) of Woodstock, IL; three grandchildren:  Gabby Rengifo, Emilia Lant and Wesley Lant; sister-in-law Deborah Kendall of Union, NE; nieces and nephew:  Rachel Hamling (Roger) of Union, NE, Megan Kendall (Amber) of Bellevue, NE and David Kendall (Kim) of Union, NE; other family and friends. 

Marcia was preceded in death by parents and a brother Robert Moody Kendall Jr.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 13, 2025 at Marshall Funeral Chapel in Nebr. City with Pastor Adam Klinker officiating.  Burial will follow in the East Union Cemetery northeast of Union, NE.

The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday (6/12) at the Marshall Funeral Chapel in Nebraska City.
