LuvStarr Dawn (Carlson) Adkins

LuvStarr Dawn (Carlson) Adkins, age 41 of Council Bluffs, IA passed away on September 10, 2021.

LuvStarr was born on August 24, 1980 in Nebraska City, NE; the daughter of Randy B. Brod and Pamela S. Carlson.  She grew up and attended school in Nebraska City, graduating from Nebraska City High School with the Class of 1998.  She later attended classes at Metro Tech Community College in Omaha.

She worked several years at Loves Travel Stop and had worked at various locations, including Syracuse, NE, Grand Jct., CO and Shelby, IA.  She was currently a Team Leader and was in training to be the Operations Manager.

She was married to Timothy E. Adkins, Jr. On June 17, 2000 at Camp Catron in Nebr. City.  They later separated.

LuvStarr is survived by her children:  Darren M. Adkins of Council Bluffs, IA and Sierra C. S. Adkins of Nebr. City, NE; mom Pamela S. Carlson of Nebr. City; step-father Gene L. Snyder of Talmage, NE; maternal grandmother Lula M. Carlson of Nebr. City; step-grandmother Betty L. Snyder of Talmage, NE; Uncles: Russel Carlson of Nebr. City, NE; William (Jennifer) Carlson of Olathe, CO; Kenneth Carlson of Nebr. City, NE; Rex Brod and family of Maryville, MO; Aunt Valerie (Allen) Witte and family of Johnson, NE; Cousin Eric Carlson and family of Nebr. City, NE; siblings:  Jesse Snyder (Michelle) of Brock, NE, Crystal Snyder of Dunbar, NE, William Snyder (Barbie) of Talmage, NE, Jerimiah Carlson (Ashley) of Buffalo, MO, Nicholas Snyder (Amanda) of Talmage, NE, Elijah Snyder of Titusville, FL, Mariah Snyder (fiance’ Douglas Oetting) of Council Bluffs, IA, Preston Snyder of Nebr. City; numerous nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her dad Randy B. Brod; maternal grandfather Paul E. Carlson, paternal grandparents Dwight and Dorothy Brod, step-grandfather Melvin W. Snyder, and paternal uncle Gary Brod.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Gude Mortuary in Nebr. City.
