Lola Bell Horner, age 88 of Marysville, KS passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Marysville, KS.
Lola Bell was born on March 16, 1933 in Nebraska City, NE; the daughter of Harvey and Elise (Russell) Perkins. She attended school in Nebraska City. On November 8, 1948, she was united in marriage to Francis Charles Horner in Sidney, IA.
She worked at the former Ocoma Foods and Campbells Soup until her retirement. After retirement, she did part-time daycare.
Lola is survived by her son Allen Horner and wife Christina of Summerfield, KS; five grandchildren: James, Jessica, Loretta, Angel and Charles; niece Janette Surrel; great-niece and nephews: Curtis Hutton, Patrick Surrel and Nikki Surrel; other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Horner on January 12, 1988, her parents Harvey and Elise Perkins, daughter Lola Irene Blair and husband Jerry, granddaughter Jerene Blair and sister Sylvia Adkins.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Gude Mortuary in Nebr. City with Pastor Terry Weible officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Creek Cemetery south of Nebraska City.
The family will greet friends prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
