Lily Hower Obituary
Lily Marie Hower, age 8 of Nebraska City passed away Friday; Dec. 28, 2018 at Children’s Hospital in Omaha, NE surrounded by her loving family.
Lily was born on March 1, 2010 in Omaha, NE: the daughter of Matthew James and Amber Marie (Meredith) Hower. She attended school and was currently in the second grade at Northside. Lily loved to draw, color and read. She also enjoyed various pasta dishes and Chinese food. She was a happy girl with a smile that could light up a room. More than anything else, she loved being with her family!
She is survived by her parents Matt and Amber Hower of Nebr. City; brothers Nicholas, Sean and Andrew Hower all of the home; grandparents: Walter and Rita Hower of Omaha and Jim and Kim Meredith of Omaha and Nebr. City; an aunt Katie Welchans (Eron) of Omaha; uncles: John Hower (Diane) of Omaha, Joe Hower (Kendra) of Bennington, NE, Tim Hower (Christina) of Huntington Beach, CA, Bill Hower (Tammy) of Omaha, Dan Hower (Megan) of Minneapolis, MN, Alex Meredith (Katie) of Nebr. City and Chris Meredith (Abi) of Nebr. City; great-grandparents Floyd and Garnet Kreifels of Nebr. City, other numerous family members and many friends.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday (1/3/19) at 10:30 a.m. at Calvary Community Church in Nebr. City; burial will follow in Wyuka Cemetery.
The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Gude Mortuary.
A Memorial Fund to benefit the Northside Library is being established and memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
