Leslie A Campbell Jr.

Leslie A. Campbell Jr., age 54 of Syracuse, NE passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025 at Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha, NE.

Leslie Arnold Campbell Jr. was born on March 22, 1971 in Nebraska City, NE; the son of Leslie Arnold Campbell and Edith Dian Stansbury.

He attended school in Nebraska City and at Nemaha Valley High School in Cook, NE.

He was united in marriage in February of 2019 to Stacey Higgins in Port Lavaca, TX. 

Les was an Iron Worker for several years and worked on numerous construction projects during that time.  He also worked in the construction industry siding homes and installing windows.  He owned his own siding/window replacement business.   He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman.

Les is survived by his wife Stacey Campbell; daughter Angel Grace Campbell and her son Max of Plattsmouth, NE; his mother Dian Haupt of Nebr. City, NE; a sister Christina Dorene Campbell of Nebr. City, NE; brother Justin Roy Haupt of Syracuse, NE; half-sister Stevie Jay Knight Miller and half brother Russell Miller; other family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Leslie Campbell on October 22, 2021 and his step-father Andrew Dale Haupt on July 23, 2020.  .

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Gude Mortuary in Nebr. City.  Inurnment will be in Camp Creek Cemetery southeast of Nebr. City.

Memorials may be directed to the family in Les’ memory.
