Kyle Rocky Barrett, 46, of Hamburg, IA, passed away on April 13, 2024 at his home in rural Hamburg.
Kyle was born on October 20, 1977 in Hamburg, IA, the son of Curt and Elona (Hunt) Barrett. He attended school in Hamburg and Rock Port, graduating from Rock Port High School with the class of 1996. He went on and attended school at University of Nebraska Omaha, MSSU in Joplin, MO, and Metro Community College in Omaha.
He worked for much of his life in computers, working as a Systems Administrator at Radix/Earthlink. He also worked for Union Pacific and delivered Pizzas in Omaha, Joplin, and Nebraska City. He was an avid music fan and enjoyed playing the drums. He was also a fan of track and field, football, art, fishing, kayaking, computers, and networking.
He is survived by significant other Mindy Wilson; children: Dade Alexander Barrett and Rose Lee Wilson; mother Elona Barrett of Rock Port, MO; siblings: Raleigh Barrett of Rock Port, MO and Natasha Barrett of Council Bluffs, IA.
He was preceded in death by father Curt Barrett on September 12, 2019; and his grandparents Fred and Irene Barrett and Lawrence and Florine Hunt.
A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Mt. Olive Cemetery southeast of Hamburg, IA.
