Joyce Yvonne (Dankof) Dalton

Yvonne (Dankof) Dalton, age 85 of Omaha, NE (formerly Hamburg) passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at the Florence Home in Omaha.

Joyce Yvonne Dalton was born on May 19, 1937 in Hamburg, IA; the daughter of Everett Merle and Lettie Isabell (Cass) Dankof.  She grew up and attended school in Hamburg and graduated from Hamburg High School with the Class of 1955.

On August 22, 1958, she was united in marriage to Harold Dalton in Hamburg, IA and to this union two daughters were born:  Paula and Barb.  Yvonne worked at the Grape Community Hospital in Hamburg for many years as a Ward Clerk.  She retired from the hospital at the age of 74 when her health began to fail.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters:  Paula Wright and husband John of Omaha, NE and Barb Loguda of Omaha, NE; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; sister Billie Hermsen of Union, NE; nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Dalton on August 17, 2020; her parents and siblings:  Vera “Toots” Armstrong, Everett Dalton Jr. and Donna Boren.

Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association.

A joint Celebration of Life will be held for both Harold and Yvonne at a later date.  Inurnment will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery southeast of Hamburg, IA.
