Jordyn Rose Hanes

Jordyn Hanes, age 21 of Nebraska City, NE passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Nebr. City.

Jordyn Rose Hanes was born on August 3, 2001 in Syracuse, NE; the daughter of Donald G. Glynn III and Rebecca L. Hanes.  She grew up and attended school in Syracuse where she graduated with the Class of 2019.  She later attended Peru State College, Peru, NE. 

Jordyn enjoyed listening to music and reading and was a very thoughtful and loving person.  She currently worked at McDonald’s and was previously employed at Walmart and Casey’s.

Jordyn is survived by her mom Rebecca Robinson and step dad John Hofmann of Nebr. City; her dad Donald Glynn III and step mom Jen Bonsetter all of Bellevue, NE; siblings:  Danielle, Justice, Angela and Mynx Robinson of the home and Ashlie, Alex and Aaron Glynn of Bellevue, NE; grandparents:  Daniel and Denise Matson of Avoca, NE, John and Deb Hanes of Ashland, NE and Cindy Fahnestock-Glynn of Papillion, NE; other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by great-grandparents:  Dennie and Pat Barton and Dale and Dorothy Hanes; aunt Bonnie Barton Walker and uncles:  Benjamin Barton, Bob Hanes and Gary Schwartman.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Otoe, NE with LuRae Hallstrom officiating.  Inurnment will be held at a later date at the Otoe Cemetery.

The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday (4/10) at Gude Mortuary in Nebr. City.
