Jon F. Tyson, age 71 of Nebraska City passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Select Specialty Hospital in Omaha, NE.
Jon was born on September 19, 1947 in Nebraska City, NE; the son of Louis M.J. and Clara Louise (Law) Tyson. He grew up and attended school in Nebraska City; graduating from Nebraska City High School with the class of 1965.
He was united in marriage to Barbara R. Lutz on May 5, 1982 in Nebraska City.
He worked at the Farmers COOP for many years and JJ Tire Co.
Jon is survived by his wife Barb Tyson of Nebr. City, NE; children: Ronald Tyson (Kim) of Nebr. City, NE, Eric Tyson (Kendra) of Dillsberg, PA, Theresa Bailey (Josh) of Nebr. City, NE, Jennifer Osborn (Chris) of Bellevue, NE and Mary Tyson (Justin Johnson) of Nebr. City, NE; 17 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; sister Pat Meyer (Cliff Koch) of Colorado; other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters: Janet Dessormeau and Vera Lechner.
A Graveside Memorial Service is set for 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 5, 2019 at St. Mary's Cemetery in Nebraska City.
