Jerry Cecil Hasty

Jerry C. Hasty, age 79, of Nixa, MO passed away on Monday, November 28, 2022 at The Castlewood Assisted Living in Nixa.

Jerry Cecil Hasty was born on May 9, 1943 in Nebraska City, NE; the son of Cecil Melton and Beulah Eunice (Davis) Hasty.  He was raised and attended school in Nebraska City, where he graduated from Nebraska City High School with the Class of 1962.

Jerry was united in marriage to Trudy K. Boileau on September 24, 1967 in Grand Island, NE.

Jerry was self-employed his main adult life.  He was owner of several motels and convenient stores.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 55 years, Trudy Hasty of Nixa, MO; three children: Gerald and Lynn Hasty, Rick Hasty, and Peggy and Steve Tyson. Five Grandchildren:  Kyle & Christine Tyson, Andrea & Jordan Jobes, Caleb Hasty, Josh & Kaleah Hasty, and Kaylee Hasty.  Five Great-Grandchildren:  Kamden Tyson, Shawn Hasty, Oliver Hasty, Riley Jobes, and Hannah Hasty.

He was preceded in death by his parents Cecil and Beulah Hasty and brother Larry and wife Aida Hasty.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 2, 2022 at Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City, NE.  Burial will follow at Grandview Cemetery in rural Sidney, IA.

The family will greet friends at 10:00 a.m. prior to the funeral.

Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association to help fight Alzheimer's.
