Jennifer Hope Prue

Jennifer H. Prue, age 21 of Lincoln, NE passed away on Saturday; May 14, 2022 in Lincoln.

Jennifer Hope Prue was born on December 23, 2000 at Yongsan Army Garrison in Seoul, South Korea; the daughter of Jonathan H. and Angela C. (Thompson) Prue.

She attended school and graduated from Colgan High School in Manassas, VA with the Class of 2019 in the Fine and Performing Arts Program.  She then attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln as an English/French Major and had currently completed her Junior year at UNL.  While at UNL, she worked in the Student Union as a Building Manager and she also worked as a bartender at the Hilton Hotel.  She was selected as part of the Ambassador Program at UNL.

She is survived by her parents:  Jon and Angela Prue of Woodbridge, VA; a sister Parker Emma Marie Prue and brother Nicolas David Prue both of Woodbridge VA; maternal grandmother Sharon Thompson of Nebr. City, paternal grandparents William and Jeanne Prue of Newport, VT, her beloved cat Eleanor; aunts and uncles:  Scott Thompson of Lamar, MO, David Thompson (Melina) of Sun Tan Valley, AZ, Jennifer Thompson of Nebr. City, Jerry “Bud” Thompson, Jr. (Angelica May) of Union, NE, William Prue, Jr. (Debra) of Newport, VT; very close friend Austin Classen of Lincoln, NE; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Jerry Thompson, Sr. and a cousin Jordon David Thompson.

Funeral Services will be held Friday (May 20) at 1:00 p.m. at Gude Mortuary in Nebr. City with burial in the Wyuka Cemetery at Nebr. City.

The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday (May 19) at Gude Mortuary.

Memorials may be given to the National Suicide Foundation.
