Hope E. Arthur, 73 of Pueblo West, CO passed away on Wednesday; April 23, 2025. She formerly resided in Lincoln and Nebraska City.
She was born on May 21, 1951 in Nebraska City, NE; the daughter of Edward Carl and Clara “Peggy” Alice (McConaha) Hershey.
Hope worked as a bank teller for many years.
She is survived by a son Richard Joe “Ric” Arthur and wife Rebecca; two grandchildren: Sofia and Oliver; her brothers and sisters: Barbara Fern Penezic and husband John, Alice Marie Haselwood and husband Eddy, Earl Theodore Hershey and significant other Beverly, Patricia Mae Rumery and husband Dave, Sheryl Lynn Bright, Rocky Lee Horner and wife Teresa, Sandy Kaye Cooper and Robyn Gaye Ferguson and husband Kenny; other family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by siblings: Edward Carl “Eddie” Hershey (Janice), Cindy Sue Axtell and James Arden “Jamie” Horner as well as her parents.
Hope enjoyed fishing and kayaking. She also loved Christmas, the Huskers, Packers – and a good steak! Although she was a bit snarky and sarcastic, she was one who always made you laugh. She was full of love and support and will be greatly missed.
