Harold E. Moyer, Jr.

Harold E. Moyer Jr., age 74 of Nebraska City passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Bergan Mercy Medical Center in Omaha, NE.

Harold Edward Moyer Jr. was born on November 22, 1948 in Omaha, NE; the son of Harold E. Moyer, Sr. and Gertrude (Berzenski) Moyer.  He attended country school and later attended Nebraska City Public Schools. 

He entered the United States Army on October 14, 1969 and proudly served his country until his honorable discharge on September 8, 1971. 

Harold married Louise L. Czapenski on July 15, 1975 in Nebraska City.

Over the years, he worked at various car dealerships as a car salesman.  He also worked at Cargill and Wal-Mart.

He is survived by his wife Louise Moyer of Nebr. City; children:  James Moyer (Tammy) of Marinette, WI, Lori Cozad (Ben) of Nebr. City, NE, Jason Moyer (Melinda) of Syracuse, NE, Lisa Moyer (Dillon Pack) of Nebr. City, NE; five grandchildren:  Drew Dubord, Lillian Ross, Annabella Cozad, Madilyn Moyer and John Moyer; siblings:  Dorothy Katie Reed of Nebr. City, Judy Vaughn of Nebr. City, Kenneth Moyer of Eagle, NE, Harvey Moyer of Nebr. City, Bonnie Gomez of Lincoln, NE and Marlene Moyer of Glenwood, IA; other family and friends.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers:  Larry Moyer and Ed Moyer.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 21, 2023 at Gude Mortuary in Nebr. City.  Immediately following the services, military honors will be provided by the Nebraska Army National Guard Funeral Honors Detail.   Burial will be at Westlawn Hillcrest Cemetery in Omaha, NE.

The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday (4/20) at the mortuary.
