Obituary
Glory L. Holmes, age 83 of Nebraska City, NE passed away on January 27, 2023 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Nebr. City.
Glory was born on November 19, 1939 in Sioux Falls, SD; the daughter of John and Linnea V. (Erickson) Ekberg.
She worked at various jobs, including at the former Stephenson Motel in Nebr. City, at Morton James Public Library and at the former Jade Sewing Factory in Nebr. City. She was a loving mother that always put others before herself. Glory loved reading, camping and fishing. She will be deeply missed and thought of always.
Glory is survived by her children: Rick Rivera of Florida, Kimberly Brennan of California and Jason Baker of Nebraska City; 17 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and a sister Jeri Painter of Riverside, CA; other extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sons: Dan Rivera and Steve Brennan and brother Larry Phillips.
Graveside Services will be held Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Wyuka Cemetery in Nebraska City. She will be laid to rest next to her mother Linnea following the services.
Memorials may be given to the family.
