Garret L. Sulsberger, age 22 of Nebraska City, NE passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2023.
Garret Luther Sulsberger was born on January 30, 2001 in Nebraska City, NE; the son of Darrin L. Sulsberger and Catherine Martin. He grew up and attended school in Nebraska City.
He had worked for A1 Locksmith, Madsen Electric and most recently Cargill.
He had many interests and hobbies. He was a huge music fan and loved all different genres. He was an avid Star Wars fan, and loved playing video games. He was a proud American and loved all things patriotic. Most of all he was a good friend, son, and loved his animals, especially his beloved boxer Ally May.
Garret is survived by his parents Catherine and David Martin of Nebr. City, NE; dad Darrin Sulsberger; siblings: Victoria Eyman, Katie Martin, and Logan Martin, all of Nebr. City and Leiah DeJoe (Ryan) of Tucson, AZ; grandmother Vicki Hensley (Mark Jewell) of Sidney, IA; great-grandfather Wayne Hensley of Riverton, IA; grandparents Gary and Bernie Sulsberger; grandmother Sheryl Ratliff; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandpa Luther Hensley, great-Oma Anni Hensley, uncle Sam Sulsberger, grandparents Richard and Kathy Martin; two very close friends Hunter Baker and Reid Adler; and his beloved boxer Ally May.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 13, 2023 at Gude Mortuary in Nebr. City. Burial will follow at Wyuka Cemetery in Nebr. City.
The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday (10/12) at the mortuary.
Memorials may be given to the family in memory of Garret.
