Frank D Karpinski

Frank D. Karpinski, age 75 of rural Stella, NE passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at his home.

Frank Daniel Karpinski was born on March 5, 1950 in Brooklyn, NY; the son of Thomas and Catherine (McIntyre) Heaune.  He grew up in New York and attended school there.  He was united in marriage to Virginia “Ginny” Tucker on November 15, 1968 in Freeport, IL. Together, Frank and Ginny served as foster parents for some 32 years and during that time helped in raising some 200 children.  Of these children, they adopted four.

He is survived by children:  Katie Smithberg (Mike) of Boaz, AL, Amie Karpinski of Stella, NE, Christie Karpinski (sig. other Chris Jones) of Plainfield, IL, Bud Karpinski (Lacey) of Stella, NE, Rachel Karpinski of Lincoln, NE; Micky Karpinski (Brandi) of Howe, NE; nine grandchildren; other family and friends.

Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Ginny on April 18, 2026; his daughter Baylie Jo Karpinski and his parents.
