Evelyn Fay (Bartlett) Glover

Evelyn F. Glover, age 95 of Nebraska City, NE passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at the Ambassador in Nebr. City.

Evelyn Fay Glover was born on March 2, 1930 in Ashland, Maine; the daughter of Phillip and Christie (O’Neil) Bartlett.  She grew up in Maine, where she graduated from high school and attended Bangor Maine Business School for a year. 

Evelyn met her future husband, Clarence Burton Glover, while he was stationed at Loring Air Force Base in Maine.  They were united in marriage on November 11, 1957 and to this union two children were born: Gloria and Gary.  Over the years, they lived in various locations, including Caribou, ME, Phoenix, AZ, Smyrna, GA, Albuquerque, NM and finally in Nebraska City. 

In her lifetime, Evelyn excelled in fiber handwork. Her handwork specialties included thread crochet and tatting as well as thread knitting.  She has made her family many beautiful creations over the years. She also played piano for the family’s enjoyment after learning to play as a young girl.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter Gloria Glover of Nebr. City, NE and son Gary Glover (Kathleen) of Scottsdale, AZ; one grandson Joseph Glover; other family and friends.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Glover on October 8, 2017 and her parents.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2026 at the Omaha National Cemetery in Omaha, NE.
