Edna (Bascom) Adams

Edna Adams, age 97 of Nebraska City, NE (formerly Julian) passed away Sunday morning; December 14, 2025 at Prestige Care Center in Nebraska City.

Hazel Edna (Bascom) Adams was born on December 13, 1928 in Peru, NE; the daughter of Arnet and Mary (Redden) Bascom.  She attended school; including at the Nebraska City High School.

Edna was united in marriage to Floyd Adams on February 16, 1946 at Seneca, KS and they shared their lives for 54 years until Floyd’s death on February 16, 2000.

She worked for many years at Peru State College in the Food Service Department.

She is survived by sons:  F. Jay Adams and wife Susie of Eagar, AZ, Chris Adams of Bellevue, NE; daughters-in-law:  Brenda Adams of Nebraska City and Christine Adams of Henderson, NV; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; other family and many friends.

In addition to her husband Floyd, she was preceded in death by daughter Julie, sons:  Patrick Adams, Steve Adams and Bill Adams, a sister Mary Hayes and a brother Charles Bascom.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
