Doreen A. Steffen

Doreen A. Steffen, age 78 of Nebraska City, NE (formerly Syracuse, NE) passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha, NE.

Doreen Adele Steffen was born on March 22, 1948 in Superior, WI; the daughter of Howard M. and Violet A. (Lauri) Diamon.  She graduated from high school in 1965 and then attended Wayne State College in Wayne, NE.  That is where she met her future husband, Marvin Anthony Steffen.  They were united in marriage on January 25, 1969 in Wayne, NE and to this union two children were born: Ryan and Lauri.  He preceded her in death on April 25, 2020.

Doreen enjoyed art and was a talented artist. Most of all she loved her family, especially her children and grandchildren.

Doreen is survived by her children: Ryan Steffen (Kristina) of Issaquah, WA and Lauri Steffen (Tyler) of Oklahoma City, OK; four grandchildren: Garrett Steffen, Lily Steffen, Oscar Wehmuller and Asa Wehmuller; sisters: Dianne Steil and Sherri Diamon; cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her husband, Doreen was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Violet and sister Alaena Diamon.
