Diana Marie (Jones) Lay

Diana M. Lay, age 71, of Omaha, NE passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Diana Marie Lay was born on April 19, 1951 in Nebraska City, NE; the daughter of Dewey Lee and Doris Marie (Smith) Jones. 

She worked as a Healthcare Provider for some 25 years and prior to that Diana worked at the Department of Corrections in Arkansas. 

She is survived by her children:  Norm Henderson (Kim) of Glenwood, IA, Helen Crunk (George) of Nebr. City, NE, Jessica Howell (Chris) of Glenwood, IA and Justin Henderson (Amanda) of Omaha, NE; fourteen grandchildren:  Samantha Henderson, Amber Crunk, Levi Henderson, Rebecca Crunk, Olivia Henderson, Katelyn Henderson, Jocelynn Lindgren, Jack Henderson, Madison Mattox, Baily Mattox, Drew Howell, Austin Howell, Ethan Howell and Zoe Howell; nine great-grandchildren:  Henry Benedict, Gracie Crunk, Fletcher Smith, Bennett Radke, Edisyn Ridnour, Journie Crunk, Brantley Howell, Charlie Howell and Frankie Howell; siblings:  Arthur Jones, Buck Jones, Darold Jones, Clelan Jones, Francine Mead, Shirley Ruhge and Marcia Thomas; other family and friends.

Diana was preceded in death by her grandson Cody Henderson; her parents and siblings:  Lonnie Jones, Steve Jones, Leonard Jones, Dewey Jones and Janet Verback.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Gude Mortuary in Nebr. City.  Burial will follow at the Avoca Cemetery in Avoca, NE.
