Delores "Dee" Glenn Obituary

Delores Ilene Glenn passed away on January 4, 2025, at the age of 85. She was born on November 11, 1939, to Clarence and Agnes (Faller) Wilson of Sidney, Iowa.

Dee grew up on a farm near Sidney where she attended school and was involved in many activities ranging from music to sports to 4-H. She attended Iowa State University for two years majoring in Art.

On June 12, 1960, Dee married her high school sweetheart, Robert Glenn. They raised their four children on a farm east of Hamburg, Iowa. She embraced her role as a farm wife, mother, gardener, and 4-H leader while still making time for social activities with her friends. As the children began busy lives of their own, Dee jumped into a career in banking until retirement.

Dee loved her community, her friends, and her neighbors, always quick with hugs and smiles. Dee was an artist and a pianist. She loved nature and gardening. Growing flowers and watching birds were her passions. She liked to keep busy - always doing something. She gave her talents and time to those around her.

Dee also loved her church, participating in choir, and playing the piano. She was a member of the St. Cecelia Choir, and her family looked forward to watching her sing with this talented group. She actively participated in PEO and enjoyed spending time with her PEO sisters. She enjoyed playing bridge with the Bridge Club. She and Bob were avid golfers and enjoyed golfing in couples’ tournaments, and she also enjoyed golfing in the women’s league.

Delores was preceded in death by her husband Robert Glenn and her father and mother, Clarence and Agnes Wilson. She is survived by her brother Ron Wilson and sister-in-law Kay Wilson; children- daughter Debbie and husband Doug Trimmer of Oak Grove, MO, son Tim Glenn of Fort Worth, TX, daughter Barb and husband Reed Oliff of Highland Park, IL, daughter Teri Domann of Lee’s Summit, MO; 8 grandchildren – Trevor and Rachel Oliff, Hannah (Oliff) and Max Hinz, Mandy Griffey, Ryan and Megan Griffey, Shelby (Domann) and Tyler Jessup, Taylor Domann, Halee Glenn and Samantha (Trimmer) and Isaiah Iloilo; 6 great-grandchildren - Nikoli Jessup, Nora Oliff, Lennon Oliff, Callahan Griffey, Milo Iloilo and Riley Griffey with one more expected soon: and many nieces and nephews.
