Delmer Eugene Shaw

Delmer E. Shaw, age 56 of Talmage, NE passed away on January 14, 2021 at Prestige Care Center in Nebraska City after a valiant battle with cancer.

Delmer Eugene Shaw was born on February 15, 1964 in Enid, OK; the son of Walter and Alice (Wyatt) Shaw.

He worked at Sapp Brothers Truck Stop near Percival, IA where he was an Assistant Shop Manager since 2012.  Prior to his work there, he did various construction projects.

Those left to cherish his memory include his life partner and companion Kelsey D. Burns of Talmage, NE; children:  Brooke Burns, Brianna Burns and Timothy Shaw all of the home; sisters:  Janet Weisbrook of Craig, NE, Judy Ivy of Sweet Home, OR and Martha Haines of Georgia; other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Harry Shaw and sister Mary Bainbridge.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2021 at Gude Mortuary in Nebr. City with Pastor Keith Hunt of First Baptist Church officiating.  Inurnment will be held at a later date.  The service will be Live Streamed on the Gude Funeral Homes Facebook Page.

Memorials may be given to the family in his memory.
